Winding Her Down To Wind Her Up (First Posted May 11, 2011)

Wednesday Means Getting Prepared For The Next 3 Days

in the morning, and without rushing, she:

does routine household chores for her and her two cats

possibly runs an errand nearby, but not bloody likely (unless it's going to the laundromat just around the corner at 7:30 a.m.)

prepares the food she needs for 3 work lunches and for on-the-go snacks consisting of hard-boiled farm fresh eggs, fresh vegies & humus, homedried beef jerky (that's pretty darn good for a novice "jerker" if she does say so herself), homedried fruit and applesauce

in the afternoon, and (really, really, really) without rushing, she:

drives peppily along the smooth, open stretch of Taylor-Kidd Blvd. that lies between her nest in Kingston and the old homestead on Millhaven Creek where her 'sister-friend', Bonnie, lives with her supportive and oh-so-mellow husband, Jon

exchanges a yummy, warm greeting with Bonnie, Jessie (the dog) and Honey Cat

tops up her portable mug from Bonnie's freshly brewed pot of coffee and - depending on the weather - makes herself at home at the kitchen table, or out in the side porch or out on the back deck

waits comfortably while Bonnie makes the final preperations for herself and Jessie to go on an outing

goes for a l-o-n-g walk (feeling as free as a bird and as happy as a clam) with Bonnie and Jessie through the woods atop the ridge across from the farm

(while working on her coffee, surveying the creek and birdwatching) spends time back at the house having a good visit with Bonnie and Jon before heading home at a decent hour

(if anything is formulating in her head) spends time writing something new for - or editing an existing piece in - this blog

gets some quick and easy nourishment into her

(lately) watches America's Next Top Model because she finds it interesting to see young women being coached by top professionals in the modelling industry to become totally aware of their appearance while being photographed and/or observed in exotic settings and because she loves haute couture photography

does a wee spot of reading

goes to bed at a reasonable hour in an effort to be properly rested for the 27 hours of physically gruelling - but rewarding - work lying just ahead inside a small, 3 chair barbershop housed within the local Canex Mall  (think poor air quality [ah-choo!] and acoustics which turn noisy tots into head-ringing banshees)

(just before dropping off to sleep) reminds herself that - comeonnowreally - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night is not all that far away (despite the fact it feels like it lies on the other side of a mountain)
