Poem (Illustrated) - Jump

Jump

When the car is crashing
If the house should burn
As the bomb is bursting
When the wheel doth turn.

When you see it coming
If the earth should crack
As the walls are tumbling
When the cards are stacked.

Jump, jump
Give a great jump
Gather your courage
And play your last  trump.
Jump, jump
When your moment draws nigh
Don’t be caught sleeping
When your time comes to fly.

When the angel’s singing
If the lightening strikes
As the arrow’s nocking
When flood o’rcomes the dyke.

When the sky is falling
If the plane goes down
As your breath is slowing
When the toll doth sound.

Jump, jump
Give a great jump
Gather your courage
And play your last  trump.
Jump, jump
When your moment draws nigh
Don’t be caught sleeping
When your time comes to fly.

When the axe is lowering
If there’s noxious fumes
As the cloud is shrooming
When there’s no more room.

When you have the knowing
If a funnel twists the air
As the crow is cawing
When the reaper stares.

Jump, jump
Give a great jump
Gather your courage
And play your last  trump.
Jump, jump
When your moment draws nigh
Don’t be caught sleeping
When your time comes to fly.

When the signs are pointing
If Peter makes the call
As the knife is plunging
When you see beyond the wall.

When your heart is longing
If the light appears
As the monks are chanting
When you face your fears.

Jump, jump
Give a great jump
Gather your courage
And play your last  trump.
Jump, jump
When your moment draws nigh
Don’t be caught sleeping
When your time comes to fly.
